Jerusalem Center Strategic Roundtable

Assessing the Role of Institutions in the Fight against Anti-Semitism

This diplomatic deliberation will focus on the roles of local, national, and international institutions regarding modern anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism, which are frequently masked as political criticism of Israel. This institutionalized conflation has often legitimized anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic rhetoric and activity while sanctioning a lethal environment around the topics of Jews and the Jewish state. Ironically, and as a matter of deepening concern, these phenomena have continued even while European nations have adopted the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism.
